Friday Link Love 4/4

Apr 04 2008

I am glad this week is over. I’m just starting to feel like myself after battling the flu last week and my throat has stopped randomly catching on fire. But now that Friday is here I can relax and unwind. I have two precious days of freedom where I pretty much set my own schedule and make my own rules (as long as I okay it with my beautiful wife first).

So without further delay, here is this week’s Link Love. I hope all of you have a very happy and safe weekend!

Friday Link Love 3/28

Mar 28 2008

Friday…is…here! I feel like I should be gasping for air as this last week has been a miserable one. I came down with the flu (or something like the flu) last Saturday and I haven’t felt normal since. Yet I still dragged myself to work each day and pressed on. I’m happy that the weekend is finally here.

I don’t have quite as many links this week as I would like, but I still found some good stuff for your reading pleasure. As always, have a safe and happy weekend!

Friday Link Love 3/21

Mar 21 2008

It has been a slow week here at Brad’s Reader. As I said in an earlier post, I’m working on another writing project with a looming deadline that I need to get finished. So I have been spending most of my free time working on that other project. Hopefully, next week I’ll be back in full swing and have some meaty feature posts for you to read.

But for now, here’s another Friday Link Love post. I really love putting these together and it has become a staple to my Thursday night routine. I only hope you get the same enjoyment out of reading these various posts as I have.

Friday is here! So without further delay, it’s time to forget about your crummy day job and get serious about relaxing. Find a comfortable spot and enjoy these links! As always, have a safe and happy weekend!

Friday Link Love 03/14

Mar 14 2008

How do you relax? I like to read. Maybe I’ll listen to some music. My personal favorite, however, is taking an afternoon nap (preferably right after lunch). Sometimes the daily grind can really wear us down and we need some time to ourselves to recharge. For most people, this time falls on the weekend!

If you haven’t done so already, take some time and sit back and enjoy some great reading from around the web. I was up for a record 48-hours scouring the darkest reaches of the internet to find the perfect mix of links, just for you.

Have a safe and happy weekend!

Friday Link Love 03/06

Mar 07 2008

Is it Friday yet? I’m happy to say that it is! My mood has been greatly uplifted this week by something I haven’t seen in a long time, the sun. That’s right, the sky has actually been blue for a few days this week and not covered with angry looking snow clouds!

Nevertheless, the important thing is that Friday is finally here so we can all relax. And while you’re relaxing, you might want to find a comfortable place to sit and enjoy some good reading. I scoured the internet for hours to find these links – just for you.

Have a fun and safe weekend!

Friday Link Love 02/29

Feb 29 2008

This is a special day, not only because it is Friday (and isn’t every Friday special?), but also because it happens to be Leap Day! The next time that Leap Day falls on a Friday won’t be until 2036 – if my calculations are correct (source). And yes, Brad’s Reader will be around to celebrate the next Leap Day Friday too.

Like every Friday, the following are links I have gathered from around the internet throughout the week. Some links are about writing and literature, some obviously are not. As always, have a relaxing and safe weekend!

Friday Link Love 02/22

Feb 22 2008

First, I want to thank all those who have left a comment during the last week! I always appreciate hearing from people who read this blog, and I hope that you’ll comment again soon.

Secondly, Friday is finally here! For some reason, this week has really dragged by. I guess knowing that it’s still February, it’s still cold and snowy (at least here in the midwest) and knowing that my next scheduled 3-day weekend isn’t until May (Memorial Day, for those of you in the US), has really made the days go by slow. Weekends are really the only refuge for the day-to-day drudgery of being a working stiff.

Finally, to kick your weekend off to a good start, I have spent countless hours trolling the internet for blog posts I think you’ll find interesting and/or entertaining. So enjoy the reading and have a safe and relaxing weekend!

Friday Link Love 01/31

Feb 01 2008

I was almost afraid that I wouldn’t get this link love post finished for today, because last night my normal 1/2 hour commute home from work swelled into 2 hours. Why? The Chicago area was hit with a nasty snowstorm and traffic slowed down to a crawl.

But, being the trooper I am, I managed to pound this out with my frozen fingers and the last ounce of energy. So here’s some more link love for your reading enjoyment. As always, the links deal with writing, literature and a lot of technology stuff this week. Enjoy!
