Amazon announced that they’ll be raising the annual Amazon Prime (aff link) membership fee from $79/year to $99. According to Amazon, people who sign up within the next 7 days will only pay the $79 fee.
Because the Prime membership program is so widely known, I don’t need to go into much detail. But here are a few benefits in case you need some convincing:
- Read free Kindle ebooks through Kindle First and the Lending Library (the most important, in my opinion).
- Unlimited streaming movies and TV shows.
- Free 2-day shipping with no minimum order required.
I’ve been a Prime member for a while now. Generally, the free 2-day shipping alone makes it worth the price. And if you order a lot from Amazon, the membership fee can easily pay for itself just in shipping cost savings alone.
So if you aren’t a member yet and want to save $20, now’s probably the time to sign up.Follow @bradsreader
