Google+ Creates Huge Demand With Limited Invitations

Google is creating huge demand for something that is already out there and readily available: A social network. Since unveiling Google+ last week with a limited number of invitations, demand for access to Google’s newest project has soared.

In fact, invites to Google’s social network are so limited and in such high demand, people are willing to pay for an invitation. Granted, the 99 cent asking price on Ebay is small change. But it still shows still shows how far people will go to be part of the next big thing.

Increase Ebook Sales With Longer Samples

One of the best part about ebooks is that you can download free samples before spending your hard-earned money on a book you might hate.

The problem is that sometimes it’s hard to judge just how well you’re going to like a book by only reading the first chapter. I’ve read many books where the first chapter was not very good. But the rest of the book turned out to be a real nail biter.

I’ve also had the opposite problem where the first chapter was great, but the rest of the novel petered out. Even the first few chapters might not be a good indicator. They say not to judge a book by its cover; I say don’t judge a book by the first chapter (or two).

Barnes & Noble Offers Customers 30 Free Ebooks For Switching To The Nook

Barnes & Noble is encouraging customers to bring their non-Nook eReaders into their local B&N store to compare it to their popular Nook line of eReaders.

To sweeten the pot, if a customer does buy a Nook, that customer will receive a book collection of 30 ebooks, which B&N says is valued at $315. That’s roughly $10.50 per ebooks.
