Mark your calendar: Blog Action Day 2009 is on October 15
I believe blogging is a powerful tool that is giving the mainstream media a run for its money. Blogs are becoming more accepted as a means to disseminate news and other information. This is why I think Blog Action Day 2009 is such a great idea. The event focuses on one pressing issue society faces, and this year that issue is climate change.
There are some who will deny climate change is a problem, or deny it’s caused by humans or deny this or that. Regardless, this is a cause worthy of everyone’s attention.
Blog Action Day 2009 is easy. Here’s how to participate:
1. Register your blog to participate.
2. Grab a cool Blog Action Day badge to add to your blog.
3. On October 15 write a post about climate change and link to www.blogactionday.org. There’s a lot you can do with this, so you’re only limited by your imagination. The more blogs that participate the more attention will be given to climate change.
