		<description>So far, I&#039;ve been on Goodreads and the literary community on Ning (I use Facebook and Twitter too -- the latter, not very much at the moment). I haven&#039;t yet figured out a good balance, between being on various social networking/media sites, and actually focusing on writing. 

I *have* been focused on writing &gt; social media for a long time -- both are important though, I think. 

I can definitely relate to the sentiment about social media being &quot;just one more distraction to deal with&quot;, however :P
