Virginia Tech: One Year Later
It’s hard to believe that it has been one year since the tragic shootings at Virginia Tech. 32 people were killed, including the shooter himself. A few days after the shooting I wrote this post about the connection between real-world violence, and violence that can be found in literature.
Luckily, the massive knee-jerk reaction to the shootings at Virginia Tech didn’t happen. As far as I know, creative writing students aren’t being rounded up and thrown into jail because their fiction has violent tendencies.
My thoughts are still with the victims, their families, and the Virginia Tech community.
