Brad’s Reader Comment Policy

I see this as a good sign that I must implement a formal comment policy for this blog. It means it’s getting more attention, which unfortunately also means that spammers are starting to take aim. My guidelines are pretty straightforward and there shouldn’t be any surprises.

Please feel free to leave a comment, or as many comments as you like. I love hearing what others have to say. Don’t be shy! If you do decide to comment, just keep the following in mind:

- Stay on topic. This goes without saying but it’s worth mentioning. Keep your comment related to the post you are writing a comment for.

- Link with care! I don’t mind people placing links back to their own blogs and/or websites. Just don’t go crazy. Obvious commercial links (ie. a link to a site selling discounted viagra) will be deleted.

- Be respectful.

- Have fun and comment often!

Any obvious spam comments will be deleted by yours truly without much thought. I don’t want to sound harsh, I just don’t want Brad’s Reader to turn into a big advertising billboard for every male-enhancement, get-rich-quick-scheme, vitamin pushing spammer out there.

About 99.9% of comments are published without any problems. Even if you disagree with every word I write, follow the above guidelines and your comment will have its day on Brad’s Reader.

I love how you have posted about a commenting policy for everyone to see. I know a lot of blogs don’t say this and well, it’s good to know what you’re looking for in a comment.
