Gunman Opens Fire at Northern Illinois University

As a recent college grad, this story hits close to home. Although the details are still sketchy, it appears a gunman opened fire in a lecture hall at Northern Illinois University. Right now, CNN is reporting that 18 students have been shot. Early reports also indicate that the shooter was not a student at the university.
When I heard he opened fire in a lecture hall, my heart really sank. As I’m sure many of you have experienced, lecture halls can be very crowded with not a lot of room. I don’t even want to imagine the chaos at NIU today.
My thoughts are with all those affected by this tragedy.
