New Year, New Goals and a Contest Marking One Year of Brad’s Reader!
2008 is right around the corner. I can’t believe another year is gone. But 2007 was pretty amazing. This blog has really taken off and December marks the 1-year birthday of Brad’s Reader! My goal, however, is to grow and expand this blog even more in the next year.
My other goals for 2008 also include spending more time working on my own fiction, which has taken a backseat to blogging and my other projects. I even hope to dive a little deeper into poetry. But instead of boring you with my own goals, I want to read yours!
What are your goals?
What are your writing/literary goals for 2008? It can be anything from finishing that novel to reading a certain book you’ve been putting off for a while. Leave a comment below with five (5) writing/literary goals you have for the upcoming new year, and you could win!
Celebrating 1 year of Brad’s Reader!
This blog has been going non-stop for one year now. So in celebration, I want to give something back to you, the readers, who have been more than supportive over the past twelve months. So when you leave a comment with your goals, you have a chance to win an awesome prize. Here’s how it works:
1) Leave a comment for this post with five (5) writing/literary goals for 2008. You have a full 24-hours to do this. This post is published at 3pm (US central time) on Sunday December 30, and you have until 3pm (US central time) on Monday December 31 to leave a comment. After 3pm Monday, further comments won’t be eligible.
2) I pick a comment at random. I do this by using a random number generator. Assuming the comment selected meets the criteria of posting 5 writing/literary goals, that commenter will win a $20 Amazon gift card!
3) The winner will be notified first via email, and then again in a post announcing the winner!
That’s it! Just by leaving a comment you have a chance to win. I wish I could give something out to everyone, but I have limited financial resources right now. But I will say that this won’t be the last Brad’s Reader contest.
2007 has been an awesome year! This blog has really grown in readership and gone through many changes (I actually started it using the Blogger platform). I am very excited to see what the 2nd year has in store. This contest is just my way of saying "Thank you for all your support!"
Disclaimer (aka the fine print)
My lovely wife, my cat, and other family members are not eligible to win the prize. Please leave one comment only. People who leave multiple comments in hopes of increasing their chances will be disqualified (I do check IP addresses). The $20 gift card will be in US currency only. No prize substitutions will be made (ie. gift cards to another store, cash instead of a gift card, etc). Your chances of winning are dependent on the number of people who enter.
Good luck and have a safe and happy New Year!
