DSL Problems Delay Posting
I have good news and I have bad news. The bad news is the DSL at my house decided to crash late Thursday afternoon. Even worse, we have to have someone from SBC come out to fix it, but they won’t be able to come until Monday! The good news is that I should be back online by Monday night, and back to my regular posting schedule. This is just one of those downsides to technology – it’s great when it works, but when it crashes, life really starts to suck.
As for SBC, I’m not impressed with their technical support. They told us it was a number of problems, and we even went out and bought a new DSL modem, because they said that was the problem. Nope! They were even going to send a technician out Friday, but the tech decided he didn’t need to come. No phone call. Nothing. If we hadn’t called ourselves, we would’ve been sitting there all night Friday waiting for this guy. SBC needs to get their act together or I’m switching to another service.
How am I posting this if I have no internet? I’m at Starbucks. I had to create a T-Mobile account to access their "hotspot". So $9.99 later (I purchased the DayPass), here I am writing this post.
